Please join us in Washington D.C. for the March for Marriage on March 26th. The march and rally is being organized by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) alongside a broad coalition of pro-family organizations. Molly Godzich will be there in support of keeping the current definition of marriage as: one man, one woman!
On March 26 and 27 the Supreme Court will be hearing two significant cases that will have a determining factor on how we define marriage in this country.
Hollingsworth v. Perry will be heard on March 26 and centers around California’s Proposition 8, a statewide marriage amendment to constitutionally define marriage as only the union of one man and one woman. Then on March 27th, United States v. Windsor will be heard this concerns the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). This law defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman for purposes of federal law and says no state can be forced to recognize a same-sex union from another state.
The fundamental question that the court will be considering in both cases is this: does marriage, defined as the union of one man and one, serve a compelling governmental interest? Or to put it another way, does marriage benefit society?….. Of course, the answer is YES!
For those who are in the Washington D.C. area or those who are willing to travel, please join Molly, as well as thousands of others, stand for marriage as God intended, one man and one woman. For those who cannot attend, please pray for that historic march and week.
